Carlos Zambrano Cubs win 4th straight

Breaking News. Carlos Zambrano has been placed on the 15 day DL. Bruce Levine also had it on his blog. This is just for precautionary reasons and probably could of pitch this week sometime. This makes no sense when Bradley and Ramirez missed a lot of time and was never placed on the DL.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Cubs 2B Bobby Scales took grounder at shortstop before Monday's game against the Giants, a sign he could soon be called up from Triple-A.

Randy Wells is going to get the spot start for Zambrano on Friday.

Luis Vizcaino was officially released on Monday. The Cubs Designated him for assignment about a week ago.

The Cubs beat the San Francisco Giants 6-4.

That improves there record to 14-11. The Cubs still have not lost in May going 4-0.

The Cubs play the San Francisco Giants at 1:20 today.

Today Starters: Tim Lincecum (2-1) vs Sean Marshall (0-1).

I will keep you updated on Big Z and other news.
