The Cubs almost lost today's game because Kevin Gregg gave up 4 runs in the 9th to tie the game up.
Closers that Jim Hendry may look at, the trade deadline:
Huston Street of the Colorado Rockies.
Jose Valverde of the Houston Astros, Valverde in currently on the 15 day DL.
Joe Nathan of the Minnesota Twins.
George Sherrill of the Baltimore Orioles.
Bobby Jenks of the Chicago White Sox.
Brian Wilson of the San Francisco Giants.
Those are some notable players that might be availabe at the trade deadline.
According to New York Reports, the Mets are looking for a first baseman to replace Carlos Delgado who has a career threating hip injury. The Cubs have Derrek Lee who is not putting up numbers like he did a couple of years ago.
I say get a player on there roster right now and a couple minor leaguers.
