Lou Pinella mention that in 2010 Alfonso Soriano will likely not lead off and bat in the 6th spot. Well this is just plain simple why Soriano is not leading off because he is getting old and he has bad knees.
Some options:
1) Chone Figgins is the likely choice because he can steal and the Cubs have been interested in him for a couple years.
2) Marco Scutaro is older but he can play good defense at SS and can get on base but the stealing is is not really there, he only has about 10 stolen bases this year. Then the Cubs can trade Theriot and stock about there farm system.
Both of those options will not hurt, they will only help the Cubs chances of winning.
