Recap of spring training game 16:

Before I start with the stats Carlos Zambrano got the nod for opening day start. The Cubs will skip the 5th starter by going with Zambrano, Dempster, Lilly and Harden then going back to Zambrano. According to Cubs.com Ryan Dempster was a little disappointed to not start on opening day.
Lou Pinella told Kosuke Fukudome that he will play CF and bat 2nd on opening day.

The Cubs lost to Japan 3-2.

Alfonso Soriano went 0 for 3 with a strikeout.

Ryan Theriot went 0 for 3.

Derek Lee went 1 for 2 with a double, walk and a strikeout.

Aramis Ramirez went 0 for 3 with a strikeout.

Milton Bradley went 1 for 3 with a single and a strikeout.

Mike Fontenot went 2 for 2 with 2 singles.

Reed Johnson went 1 for 3 with a single and a strikeout.

Paul Bako went 1 for 1 with a single and 2 walks.

So Taguchi went 1 for 2 with a double and a rbi.

Micah Hoffpauir went 1 for 2 with a double. and a strikeout.

Jake Fox went 1 for 2 with a double.

Carlos Zambrano pitch 4 innings and gave up 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.

Kevin Gregg pitch 1 inning and gave up nothing.

Angel Guzman pitch 1 inning and gave up 1 hit and a strikeout.

Neal Cotts pitch 1 inning and gave up 1 hit and a strikeout.
