Gordon Edges of Yahoo Sports says a NL Central team is interested in 2B Freddy Sanchez and he speculates it could be the Cubs. It would be hard for the Cubs to get him because of his 8 million salary if he reaches the number of at-bats. I don't know if the Cubs can take on the salary of Sanchez.
Goevany Soto was officially placed on the 15 day DL today and the Cubs brought back OF Sam Fuld. The Cubs will continue to look for a catcher outside of the organization. The Cubs did put out a waiver for C Chris Coste but decided to go to the Astros.
The Cubs may have another injury, in todays game Derrek lee left with neck spasms and is listed as day-to-day. I hope he is not injure because I am going to the day game tomorrow at Wrigley.
Today at 7:30 Jim Hendry will join David Kaplan on 720am, WGN channel. If Hendry says anything interesting, I will post it right here.
