According to David Kaplan of CSN, the sale of the Chicago Cubs to the Ricketts Family is completed and the deal should be officially announced on Monday.
Also according to David Kaplan, the two sides reached an agreement last week and sent the contract to Major League Baseball for approval." The deal is expected to be approved by August with the Ricketts taking over control soon after.
An press conference will me made when it is made official by the MLB sometime in August.
In an another note the Cubs are interested in pitcher Matt Herges, thanks to hot stove cubbies for providing that. Herges was just officially release by the Indians today.
