There is a rumor out their that the Cubs will get pitcher-closer of the San Diego Padres. Monty Show on Sirius 127 said he heard from a scout that the Cubs are close to acquiring Bell. I would love the addition because he has a good chance to make it to the all-star and is putting up career numbers this year. It will not hurt their payroll because he is only making 1.5 million this year. Remember only a rumor nothing more as of right now.
Aramis Ramirez is expected back in the lineup on Monday if everything goes well on his rehab starts this weekend for the Peoria Chiefs.
Angel Guzman pitched 1 inning for the Peoria Chiefs yesterday going 1,2,3 with 2 strikeouts. He will pitched tomorrow for the Chiefs and will return early next week.
