According to ESPNCHICAGO.com the Cubs sign relief pitcher BJ Ryan to a 1 year deal and it could be a minor league deal. It also reported that Ryan will start in Arizona before reporting to Triple A Iowa to get extra work in.
Ryan was released by the Blue Jay last week and just cleared waiver a couple days ago.
I like this move because it cost less and very well could be a big move. I hope it is like Jim Edmonds and Reed Johnson of last year.
