Quick Hits...

According to Peter Gammons, he believes the Cubs will make a trade before the trade deadline. I sure hope so, maybe a guy that has power to all directions.

Hot Stove Cubbies mentions that if the Marlins become sellers the Cubs are said to be looking for a power bat and the Cubs could look at Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla and Jorge Cantu. Ramirez will cost more prospects than because of age, speed and power than Roy Halladay.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports says the Jays could trade Marco Scutaro who is only making 1.1 million and he should be a guy on their list, Scott Rolen which he makes to much money for the Cubs to take on, Scott Downs, Jason Frasor and Rob Barajas are also names that he mentions.

He mention that the Cubs could be looking at C Rob Barajas.

All those guys will help the club in a big way. My favorite guy in Marco Scutaro.

Jerry Cransick of ESPN says the Cubs could have a big second half, even though they're "muddling along" now.

I will keep you posted.

  1. I don't think the Marlins will trade Hanley. They need him to open up that new stadium in a few years. You might get Dan Uggla though.

  2. They will if there overwhelmed because Han Ram is upset with the marlins. Dan Ugla I can see to.

  3. yeah Ram is upset with the Marlins, but the Marlins would be fools to let him go. Again, because they have tried to unload Uggla in the past, I can see the Cubs going after him. But we'll see.
