Could Billy Wagner be on the Cubs List...

So could we see 38 year old closer-relief pitcher Billy Wagner on the Cubs radar, Jon Heyman thinks he could be in Cubbie blue next year.

Wagner was traded from the Mets to the Red Sox during the waiver period in August for 2 players in return.

Wagner went 1-1 with a 1.72 era in 15.2 innings with giving up 3 earned runs. Pretty much the whole entire 2009 season Wagner was on the DL with arm injuries.

If I am Jim Hendry I would only sign Billy Wagner to a 1 year contract worth 1-2 million because he is old and the Cubs need to start giving there youngsters playing time like John Gaub and Jay Jackson who are right now in Triple A Iowa.

Would this happen probably not because he could find more money else where and a team will give him more money.

I will keep you posted.
