Cubbies Notes...

In a report Phil Rodgers names guys that Jim Hendry should go after:

1) Adam Dunn: Have to trade for him.
2) Bobby Abreu: Free Agent.
3) Dan Uggla: Have to trade for him.
4) Miguel Tejada: Free Agent.
5) Gary Sheffield: Free Agent.
6) Brad Hawpe: Have to trade for him.
7) Rick Ankiel: Free Agent.
8) Paul Byrd: Free Agent.
9) Chris Young: Have to trade for him.
10) Mark Derosa: Free Agent.

In that group, I like Abreu, Uggla, Tejada, Hawpe and Derosa.

Ryne Sandberg said he would love to coach the MLB Chicago Cubs. I think we will see him in 2011 after Lou Pinella retires. Sandberg is currently coaching the Cubs double A team.

Kevin Gregg mention yesterday that he would love to be a Chicago Cub next year, most likely not going to happen.

The Rangers are no longer interested in outfielder Milton Bradley, they were the unlikely team to land him anyways.

Ted Lilly mention that he wants the Cubs to resign OF Reed Johnson and sign free agent and former Cubs Mark Derosa.

Gordon Wittnymer reports the Cubs will most likely look at catcher Ramon Castro who is a free agents as a veteran presence to help Soto out. He will be the backup and Hill will start in Triple A.
